Last updated: October 28, 2026
Overview
Your privacy is important to us, and we are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy outlines the types of information we collect in the web version of G-Switch 4: Creator, how we use it, and the steps we take to ensure your privacy is maintained.
G-Switch 4: Creator is a video game developed by Vasco Freitas, located in Portugal, and operating under the brand name Serius Games. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you play G-Switch 4: Creator. Our data processing activities are subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Collected Information
We collect the following information when you use the web version of G-Switch 4: Creator:
- Game data: uploaded levels, level names, and gameplay progress, in order to provide enhanced functionality and ensure your data is available across devices. Uploaded levels and related level information are public so they can be shared with other players.
- Analytics data (our own, aggregated, non-identifying): information about how the game is used, such as session counts, playtime, performance data (such as FPS ranges), and general usage patterns (e.g., platform, language, levels completed). Country may be inferred from IP at the time of request. This information is processed by us to better understand how users interact with the game and to improve its performance, stability, and features.
- Advertising & analytics via Poki: the web version integrates the Poki SDK, which provides game analytics and displays ads on poki.com. Poki may collect data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads depending on your settings/consent and may use cookies or similar technologies. See the Poki privacy/cookie information linked below.
- Sign-in data (optional): if you sign in with Discord, we collect and store your Discord username and ID, used for authentication and account management. This information is used only for the purposes for which it was provided (account creation, login, and syncing). It is not used for advertising or marketing. We do not receive or store your Discord password.
- Country data: if you are signed in, we may infer your country from your IP address and store it on our servers. If you choose to enable the "country flag" feature in the game, your country will be publicly displayed alongside your profile and/or published levels. You can enable or disable this feature at any time in the game’s options.
- Profile and social data: if you create a G-Switch account, we store your account creation date, username, chosen profile character, gameplay statistics, last-active time, privacy settings, and following relationships. These support player profiles, social features, and syncing across supported G-Switch games.
- Moderation data: limited username history, moderator notes, and records of removed levels or account restrictions, used to investigate abuse and enforce the rules. Access is restricted to authorized personnel.
- Server logs: our servers may temporarily store log files, which can include technical information such as IP addresses. These are used only for diagnosing and resolving technical issues and are automatically deleted after a limited period.
Public Profiles and Following
If you create a G-Switch account, you will have a player profile that other players can view. This includes your username, selected profile character, account creation month and year, published levels, and follower count. You can control whether your country flag, approximate activity status, XP level, completed level count, and first orb discovery count are shown through the game's privacy settings. Information without a visibility setting may remain public.
Players can follow other players, and follower counts are publicly visible. Following preferences may be stored locally or linked to a G-Switch account and synchronized across supported G-Switch games.
Third-party Services
The web version of G-Switch 4: Creator uses the following third-party services:
Cookies
- Our cookie: used to keep you securely signed in to the game.
- Poki/third-party cookies: may be used for ads and analytics. See the Poki Cookie Statement for details and choices (including personalized vs non-personalized ads).
Sharing and Disclosure
Public profile information, published levels, and follower counts can be seen by other players as described above.
We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with trusted service providers (e.g., hosting/infrastructure) solely to operate the App, under contracts requiring appropriate security and confidentiality. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Data Protection
We take your privacy seriously and employ appropriate security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data.
Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data
We process your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) based on the following legal grounds:
- Performance of a contract / provision of the service: to manage accounts, authenticate players, synchronize data, and provide requested features such as profiles and following.
- Legitimate interests: to secure, moderate, diagnose, and improve the game and its services, provided those interests do not override your rights and freedoms.
- Consent: where required, such as for optional public country-flag display or personalized ads through Poki.
We rely on legitimate interests to store country data for account functionality and service integrity; public display of your country flag occurs only with your consent.
You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, but this does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
Your Data Protection Rights
If you reside in the European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights under the GDPR, including the rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and object to the processing of your personal data, as well as the right to data portability.
To exercise any of your data protection rights, please contact us at [email protected]. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe.
If you believe we have not complied with the applicable data protection laws, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Retention
- Server logs: retained only for a limited period necessary to diagnose and resolve technical issues, and then automatically deleted.
- Game data and account information (including profiles, signed-in follows, and moderation records): retained while your account is active or until you request deletion.
- Poki ads/analytics data: collected and retained by Poki in accordance with its policies (see links above).
- Our own analytics: stored in aggregate form and not linked to individual users; because of this, we cannot remove individual contributions, and the data is used only for statistical and improvement purposes.
- Country data: retained on our servers while your account is active, regardless of whether the public display feature is enabled. If you disable the feature, your country is not displayed but remains stored for quicker re-enablement.
