Last updated: September 3, 2025
Overview
Your privacy is important to us, and we are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy outlines the types of information we collect in the Android version of G-Switch 4: Creator, how we use it, and the steps we take to ensure your privacy is maintained.
G-Switch 4: Creator is a video game developed by Vasco Freitas, located in Portugal, and operating under the brand name Serius Games. By using G-Switch 4: Creator on Android, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Our data processing activities are subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Collected Information
We collect the following information when you use the Android version of G-Switch 4: Creator:
- Game data: uploaded levels, level names, and gameplay progress, in order to provide enhanced functionality and ensure your data is available across devices. Uploaded levels and related level information are public so they can be shared with other players.
- Analytics data:
- Firebase Analytics: aggregated, non-identifying information about how the game is used, such as session counts, playtime, device type, country, language, crash reports, and performance data. This helps us understand player behavior and improve the game’s performance and features.
- Our own aggregated analytics: non-identifying information about how the game is used, such as session counts, playtime, performance data (such as FPS ranges), and general usage patterns (e.g., platform, language, levels completed). Country may be inferred from IP at the time of request. This information is processed by us to better understand how users interact with the game and to improve its performance, stability, and features.
- Advertising data: we use Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers and other information to serve personalized or non-personalized ads, depending on your settings and consent choices. See the Google Privacy Policy for details.
- Sign-in data: if you sign in with Google or Discord, we collect and store the following:
- Google Sign-In: your Google ID, used for authentication and account management.
- Discord Sign-In: your Discord username and ID, used for authentication and account management.
This information is used only for the purposes for which it was provided (account creation, login, and syncing). It is not used for advertising or marketing.
- Country data: if you are signed in, we may infer your country from your IP address and store it on our servers. If you choose to enable the "country flag" feature in the game, your country will be publicly displayed alongside your profile and/or published levels. You can enable or disable this feature at any time in the game’s options.
- Server logs: our servers may temporarily store log files, which can include technical information such as IP addresses. These are used only for diagnosing and resolving technical issues and are automatically deleted after a limited period.
Third-party Services
The Android version of G-Switch 4: Creator uses the following third-party services:
Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with trusted service providers (e.g., hosting/infrastructure) solely to operate the App, under contracts requiring appropriate security and confidentiality. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Data Protection
We take your privacy seriously and employ appropriate security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data.
Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data
We process your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) based on the following legal grounds:
- Legitimate interests: When processing is necessary to pursue our legitimate interests in providing a secure, reliable, and personalized game experience, as long as it does not override your rights and freedoms.
- Consent: where applicable — for example, sign in with Google or Discord, enable the optional "country flag" display, or allow personalized ads.
We rely on legitimate interests to store country data for account functionality and service integrity; public display of your country flag occurs only with your consent.
You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, but this does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
Your Data Protection Rights
If you reside in the European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights under the GDPR, including the rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and object to the processing of your personal data, as well as the right to data portability.
To exercise any of your data protection rights, please contact us at [email protected]. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe.
If you believe we have not complied with the applicable data protection laws, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Retention
- Server logs: retained only for a limited period necessary to diagnose and resolve technical issues, and then automatically deleted.
- Game data and account information: retained while your account is active or until you request deletion.
- Analytics and ad-related data: collected and retained by Google/Firebase/AdMob in accordance with their privacy policies.
- Our own analytics: stored in aggregate form and not linked to individual users; because of this, we cannot remove individual contributions, and the data is used only for statistical and improvement purposes.
- Country data: retained on our servers while your account is active, regardless of whether the public display feature is enabled. If you disable the feature, your country is not displayed but remains stored for quicker re-enablement.
Request for Data Deletion
To request the removal of your account and all related data from our database, please send an email to [email protected]
